I just came across an article offering tips for buying “green” jewelry - including wedding rings and engagement rings. And while there is a concern for and an interest in ethically produced jewelry, there also may be another concern – how can you really prove that the piece of jewelry is really “green?” It’s not like you can be there when your diamond is removed from the Earth, or inspect a mine on a weekend before you say – “I’ll take that hunk of gold for my necklace!” Just some food for thought.
