They also highlight Benchmark wedding rings, which is somewhat of a surprise. Why? Generally because independent jewelry stores feel that online retailers are a general threat. Many online wedding ring retailers keep their prices low due to the fact that many have lower expenses and agreements with suppliers that allow them to keep little or no inventory. A retail jewelry store actually has to keep their cases full, and may find themselves to be at a pricing disadvantage. Personally, I feel that the jewelry industry has room for online and traditional wedding ring retailers - it's just a matter of proper marketing in today's age. And Benchmark is a great company with a strong reputation.
