Jewelry retailer website BlueNile.com is offering special Black Friday deals - a sterling silver "Everlasting Hearts" necklace for $35 (regularly $65); the "Tuxedo" freshwater cultured pearl necklace for $100 (regularly $185) and its oval design diamond necklace for $18,850 (regularly $29,000). These are the very first Black Friday deals since the company's beginning in 1999. BlueNile.com’s Black Friday deals are only available for 24 hours or as long as supplies last, starting at midnight on Nov. 26. Curiously, brick-and-mortar jewelry company Sterling Jewelers, operator of Kay Jewelers and Jared the Galleria of Jewelry, remains tight-lipped about their plans as this specific retailing day is typically very competitive. Helzberg Diamonds said it would be bringing in extra staff and also be opening early on Black Friday. Zales.com is also offering "Early Black Friday" specials available online only.
