While playing around with Yahoo! Clues, a new online tool that helps you explore Yahoo! search trends, I noticed that more women search for the term “men’s wedding bands” than men. I tend to think that men are slightly less enthusiastic when it comes to shopping for wedding bands. The percentage difference is not much, but I’d like to figure that guys would be more involved with the wedding band or wedding ring that they are supposed to wear for eternity.
But also keep this in mind – more men from the ages of 25-34 search for the term “men's wedding rings,” so the difference may involve terminology. Yet the margin of difference is still just a few percentage points, so it seems that the woman is in the driver’s seat overall when it comes to wedding band or wedding ring research.
