Accuracy matters more than preserving an earlier version of an article. If we find a material factual error, unclear attribution or outdated guidance, we correct it.

What counts as a correction?

Minor spelling, formatting and clarity edits may be made without a formal notice. A correction note is appropriate when the original wording could materially change a reader’s understanding of the subject.

Updates

Evergreen guides may be expanded or refreshed as new information becomes available. Where an update substantially changes the substance of a guide, the updated date is shown on the article.

Commercial corrections

Advertisers, affiliates and commercial partners do not receive a different correction standard. A commercial relationship is not a reason to leave inaccurate information unchanged.
