The Wedding Ring Blog

About The Wedding Ring Blog

The Wedding Ring Blog is an independent editorial publication about wedding rings, engagement rings and the decisions that surround them. Our core subjects are metals, widths, profiles, sizing and fit, hallmarking, engraving, care, matching a wedding band to an engagement ring, ring traditions and current jewellery culture.

The site also covers selected ceremony, planning and wedding-style subjects where they genuinely help readers make better decisions. Rings remain the specialist centre of the publication.

A modern publication with a real history

TheWeddingRingBlog.com is a revived historic domain with surviving references from the earlier Wedding Ring Blog era. The original site covered wedding bands, precious metals and jewellery-industry news, including material connected with Novell Wedding Bands, Novell Design Studio and Rick Mulholland, known at the time as “Rick the Wedding Ring Guy”.

The current publication is not presented as an uninterrupted continuation of the old editorial team. Modern articles are newly written. Where an old Blogger-era URL still has meaningful external references, we may preserve that exact address and publish a new, clearly contextualised article there rather than discarding the history of the domain.

What we publish

  • Wedding-ring guides: practical buying information on metals, widths, profiles, sizing, fit, finishes, engraving, care and long-term wear.
  • Engagement-ring and jewellery explainers: settings, diamond terminology, stacking and matching, hallmarking and other subjects that affect a real purchase.
  • Ring news and culture: current celebrity jewellery, designer developments and broader ring trends, with a clear distinction between what is confirmed, what has been reported and what remains speculation.
  • Selected wedding editorial: ceremony, planning and weddingwear articles that complement the ring focus rather than overwhelm it.

How we work

Our aim is to publish useful, specific information rather than produce articles simply to fill categories or chase search terms. Where a claim depends on regulation, specialist guidance, a designer statement or current reporting, we aim to link to the relevant source. Where an article is commentary on reporting by another publication, we say so.

We do not treat word count as a quality target. A page should be as long as it needs to be to answer the reader’s question properly. Comparison tables, diagrams, checklists and direct explanations are preferred to padding.

Images and visual standards

We prefer real licensed photography, original diagrams and user-supplied commercial imagery over generic artificial wedding photography. Celebrity and event images are checked individually for reuse rights, and source or licence information is retained where required.

Commercial relationships

The site may contain sponsored links, affiliate links and clearly identified commercial placements. Luxedo Suits and That British Tweed Company are commercial partners whose products may be relevant to selected weddingwear content. Amazon Associates links may also appear occasionally.

Commercial relationships do not determine unrelated editorial coverage. Sponsored or affiliate links are identified in context, and editorial pages should provide value before asking a reader to click a commercial link.

Corrections and contact

If you spot a factual error, an outdated source or a licensing problem, please contact hello@theweddingringblog.com with the page URL and the detail that needs checking. Material corrections should be made transparently rather than silently changing the meaning of a published article.
